HoofBoot Farriers Scoot Boot course
The most comprehensive and intense Scootboot course
Hoof boots and hoof boot fitting services are on the rise at an unprecedented rate, with many horse owners taking advantage of comfortably fitting boots.
Within this rapidly expanding market, HoofBoot Farriers have identified what we believe is a much-needed addition to this success.
While many boots, sized correctly and fitted straight off the shelf work just fine, a good few owners have reported “niggles” and problems they have encountered such as rubbing, twisting or losing the boots altogether.
For hundreds of years now farriery has been limited to metal solutions when trying to give horses feet protection and along with this has come a vast array of remedial designs and yet, just how many of these applications might also be addressed by an adapted hoof boot?
HoofBoot Farriers is the concept of 2 U.K registered farriers, (Johnson & Richardson) firmly entrenched in offering a bespoke hoof boot fitting service using predominantly Scoot Boots, being quite possibly the most adaptable hoof boot on the market for this purpose.
With a unique approach using bespoke pads both external and internal, padding, stretching, cutting, welding... finishing up with a system of optimising (Tailoring) to the individual horse (our true client) to ensure the best possible outcome for remedial and challenging cases, or that extra level of service for our less complex friends.
The best news is that HoofBoot Farriers want to expand this innovative and adaptive use of hoof boots within a community, dedicated to pushing the boundaries along with mutual and regular support from each other.
To this end, if you are a hoof care professional, HoofBoot Farriers have created a 2-part course, the first being online and the second part being a hands-on two-day practical course, putting all those observed skills into practice.

After successfully completing the 2-day course, HoofBoot Farriers will offer a place on the HF register as an RSF having made sure they are happy to engage with their new skills.
The list will be available both publicly and be circulated to Hoof Boot agents, knowing they can recommend your service with confidence.
